Ben’s responsibilities as CIC board member include investor relations, mergers and acquisitions. As the founder and owner of SATXS Communications BV, and later co-owner and founder of YMV Inc, Ben pioneered advances in digital distribution in the Netherlands. YMV’s live web coverage of sport and music events attracted audiences of up to 100,000 people, demonstrating the mass demand for new forms of media entertainment. Ben successfully negotiated the acquisition of the Commodore brand in April 2005, thereby creating a unique full-service provider of digital media products, content and services. Ben’s long-held ambition is to give people unprecedented access to a personalized media environment.
